Ahhh, those damn High Hang Power Cleans of 135 just last week. I think that was the first time I actively cussed during a workout. I was so damn frustrated because I knew it wasn't strength, wind or muscle fatigue, but pure form / technique, and it ate up my workout.
1: Mark the old E misses you too. 2: there has been two workouts outs where I mentally quit and just finished for thsimple fact that Mark and Nick were ther, the first and only "filthy fifty" and the last unbroken, the latter one proved that lack of sleep and food seriously effects the workout. I'm not Joe's age anymore!
Where do I start, I feel like I struggle on them all. But maybe I would say anything with running. I hate to run and I'm definitely not the young guy I once was. Even as little as 5 years ago I would be able to do so much better on these WOD's.
I'll see what the difference is in 6 months when I should be back down to my comfort weight, 170.
My breakdown moment came recently - "Clean and Jerk your Balls" = HEAVY GRACE + KAREN.. Really happy I pushed through and haven't been tested like that in a loooong time. Thank you to those that were there and helped me through it - I'm better because of it. Get some!
Out of your greatest despair will come your greatest triumph - so look to your left and to your right, they're experiencing the same type of test, always remain positive, supportive, and responsible and you'll have friends/training partners for life. I am honored to share in your success and your growth.
E, its in my backyard in Wildwood. I bought bumper plates, kb's, and a med ball. Just have to be careful not to dump the weights when the triplets are close. Have a great weekend.
sorry have been trying to finish the babies room, only 2 weeks left till she is here. installed a hard wood for time on sunday. me,the wife and my son have been sick all week. as for my toughest mental wod without a doubt unbroken it killed me. hope to make it on friday if i can. Alpha 3-2 actual out.
I agree with Nick the Karen + Grace WOD was totally horrible! I did it one morning with Chuck and Justin...I wanted to quit in a way I can't put into words. It's bad when you do the first movement and you want to quit!! Kevin, nice with the backyard 4th of July Crossfit!! Beers and Burpees who could ask for more:-)
My most frustrating moment was during the 54321 "Rep Scheme"- Dead lifts, hang cleans, front squat, push jerk! I attempted the hang cleans 8 times on the 4th round and all my plates fell off the bar!!!!!! SO Annoyed!! Ha ha

For me, anytime there are double-unders involved, I am NOT happy at all !!!

So far "Murph" and "Unbroken" have seriously made me want to throw in the perverbial towl, seriously.
I did a little custom workout today. Legs and lower back are a bit sore, so....
15 min AMRAP
5 strict pullups (that's right, no kipping! Can't kip in the doorway)
10 pushups (chest to deck, full extension)
15 Abmat situps
I got 11 rounds.
Fun little upper body workout.
I'm on the way to the shore shortly to ruin my diet.
