Stacey -Terrific job as always! Those bacon hors d'oeuvres were gone in 15 mins!! Thank you for all you do and continue to do to keep things organized.

Our next 'event' is crushing the Sectional WOD's for the CrossFit Games. Lets rally around each other in support and encouragement to get the best out of each workout.

Again, Thank you to all those that participated. We are gleaming with joy about your results as if they were our own. Congratulations!

Nipur - I"m gonna dance like you've never seen before.

Such a great time at OTG yesterday!

Well done to all the athletes who competed and to all your skinny sobs that participated in the paleo! Very motivating.

Thanks to everyone that took the time out of their day to judge.

Mark, Nick and Stacey- thank you for running yet another fantastic event. When you spend the first part of the day gettin your ass kicked and follow it up with hours of laughin your ass off with good friends, youve done something right. OTG is such a wonderful community/family to be a part of. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it.

Enjoyed being in the company of all the fine people who make up this community. You all are very inspiring! My effort though was rather forgettable. Mentally the wheels fell off during snatch/burpee combo and I wasn't able to recover. Struggled just to finish. Thanks to everyone who pushed me through in particular Joe O. Hope to get another chance to redeem myself! Mark, Nick, and Stacey you guys are amazing!

Man, your all a bunch of fat melting psychos! Great job everyone. I have a question for all the runners we have. I'm doing the Tough Mudder in a month. What do you think the best way to train/ not train right before it? Do I take the week before off? Active rest? If so, what do I do? Really appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Hey Kevin,
I don't think you need to take the week off before the mudder. Active rest is definitely key.
Before the NYC marathon in November i did take the 2 day off before and did nothing. There are many people who will do a light job a day or two before a race. Sometimes this is done just for the mental aspect of it.

A few things that I did limit the week before the race were double unders and high box jumps. Double Unders sometime wreck my calves and i did not want to risk any injury.
I think if you kept training but decreased the intensity would be a good taper into the mudder.

Good Luck

Im by no means as experienced as Doc Ironman over here but Id say stay away from anything that is going to make your legs feel heavy during the race. We did the Englishtown Tough Mudder which was 12 miles instead of the normal 7 (I think) and my legs felt like they weighed a ton after the mud accumulated on my feet. So stay away from squats, squat clean, squat snatches, OHSQ, box jumps and DU... pretty much anything with legs for the last 3 or 4 days before the race!

Thanks, I think I'm just gonna do some row/burpee intervals. I'm doin it with my fat, lazy friends, so I'll have plenty of rest throughout the race. I will, however, be carrying the backpack full of beers!

Unfortunately, I had a lot going on yesterday before, during and after the Challenge so I wasn't able to post anything about how awesome yesterday was... I just want to recap real quick.
We've all said it before, but it must be said again and again and again... a HUGE thanks to Mark, Stacey and Nick for all that they did putting everything together for the past 60 days and especially for yesterday! The Paleo & PR Challenges were an amazing experience for the OTG! The overall success of everything this family does is only possible by all that you guys do.
I also want to say a big thanks to all of the athletes and spectators who helped push all of us during the PR challenge! I wouldn't have made it without all of your support!
