Mark,
You shall gain but you shall pay with sweat, blood, and vomit, Comrade.
I'm on my sixth day of paleo. It's very weird. I feel great and terrible at the same time! I feel overall better, and my workout on Friday(I work out late in the week) felt amazing. Usually by round three of any wod I want to quit because I'm running out of gas, but this one I felt great. No fatigue. However, I had a low grade headache for three days straight, and got a cold. In summary, I feel good but I'm sick. Does that sound normal? I know the first week or two can be weird. Any thoughts?
Kev, I'm no doctor (get it? ha) or expert, but I'd say to check out your carbs/fat. I know personally when my carbs/fat (aka energy) are low or lower than normal, I get a headache. Also when I don't eat enough I get a headache. Hows the sleep too? hrs wise.
Kev,
Loren Cordain, Paleo Diet, convinced Joe Friel, famous Triathlon coach to try the paleo diet for a month. First 2 weeks he said he felt terrible. Then by the 3rd and 4th weeks he started to feel really good. He noted his recovery was better than it was 10 years ago. So you have to get through the initial few weeks of your body adapting to running off fat as your primary energy source.

Wow! Two PR's for me today!

Very excited about that but more excited that I GOT THE KIP!
Did my 1st pull up tonight and it was unassisted too! Felt great! Now I need to string a whole bunch together!! Thanks to all for the countless pointers and tips. Its really nice when it all comes together. :)
Happy Birthday Hannah!
Lift start: 65
Ended: 115
Failed 2x at 120. so close. grrrr
Nikki, congrats on the pull up!!!
Lift Start 95
Finish 160

Probably should have tried heavier.
Lift Start: 65
Lift End: 115 (pr)
Not sure if I would have gotten 120 or not, but I'm happy with the PR! Last week I ended our lift on 110.
Then...messed around on the rings a bit. Got 1 unassisted ring dip, with some crazy kipping/kicking action going on. I need to work on those...
Happy Birthday Hannah!
Congrats Nikki! All that work is paying off!
See you guys at 5:30 tomorrow :)
5:30 & 6:30 classes were FUN! good PR's all around.
started w/ 155 and finished with 210, did fail at the first attempt of 210 but got the second...PR, have been stuck at 205 for at least a year
No PR tonight... but I'm glad I attempted it... now I know where I am. I tried to sike myself up for the jump to my max weight by lowering the load for 1 rep and then I would have made the jump to my max before going for a PR... that BACKFIRED! I FAILED on the lighter load!! MF'er!!! At least I got up to my max. PR next time baby.

105 is my new 1rm from last week. Probably should've tried to do it earlier in the WOD. But, very happy with the weights & reps.
