In Honor of Our Veterans we will be doing a hero WOD today. We want to thank all of our service men and women for all they do for us each and every day!!!
USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis, 28, was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Timothy is survived by his wife Megan and one-year old son T.J.
Five rounds of:
12 Deadlift 155/105#
9 Hang power clean
6 Push jerk
This will be a team workout. You will each have a partner. Each person will complete a round then your partner will complete a round till each person does 5 rounds. We will scale the weight accordingly and you will both use the same bar for the wod.

3 Rounds: 6:19 65lbs
Nick & Bambi, thanks for making me up the weight...I think...
thats how you feel old man?
looking to strength on this one, can you keep up?
can your shoulder and wind keep up?
5 rounds, 95lbs, 12:08. Chris, you can do 115 no problem. Maybe more. Get some.
I'm REALLY planning on coming tonight after a looong "medical" leave. I just got back from vaca at St. Thomas and while there stepped on sea urchins!!! Yep, I counted all of them - 21 splinters!!! Needless to say my feet are still sore and I'm still yanking some splinters out. Hoping to be back this weekend, if not next week. See y'all!
Well now, I initially thought to myself, "I'll do 135, that should be good". Then I thought you know maybe I should work on going faster instead of lifting more. So then I thought maybe 115. Then I decided 95 would be good and went with that. It was a good choice. I was still struggling a bit but moving fairly quickly. Plus I didn't have anyone here in the basement to compare myself with so there was no ego to mess with me.
Ok so after all that rambling I finished with 10:34. I think this is what I need to start doing, work the speed of the movements and not worry about what everyone else is doing.
That was a smart move Jim going with the 95lbs. That's what i did. The hang/cleans get heavy real quick.
Did 5 Rds 95lbs in 10:35
Thanks for the "compliment" Kev. Unfortunately, work has me away this week so looks like Saturday may be the first day I can get back there.
Just doing squats, sit-ups, push-ups, & burpees in my room to maintain some level of activity this week.
Good workout w/Mark & Joe O, I think we did DT proud.
First workout not rx'd in some time, 16:01 w/ 135
felt good until Brett said "go" ha, love this place!
Great workout and atmosphere in W'town at 6 o'clock last night. Tons of motivation! The team style workout was a nice change with great results from what I saw. I was looking forward to an Eric/Wayne battle of the Giants.
Damn I "love this place"!
