Really enjoying the workouts lately with the skill pre-WOD. I need all the help I can get in order to improve my form!!!!! I have to give props to Stacey for her originality in making up these WOD's ---- some of the best ones over the last month have been her handiwork. ( I think )... 1.Jerk-Jump-Swing 2.WOD This 3.KB's-Wall Ball-Box Jump Can't wait until Friday at 6:00PM. A great group of Cross-Fit machines!!!!!
6 was a blast last night in W'town! You guys did great and it ran smoothly as usual! You guys were encouraging one another, and that's just awesome to see and be a part of!
Kevin, Paul, and Sam...great work yesterday! Strong as hell...
Andrea, way to be smart and build back slowly...looking forward to you being 100%
Okay, I am hurting. Each hour my legs have been getting more and more sore. Not cool when I'm in a car all night. Good thing I'm taking Friday off, rest up for the mud run, yipee. Mark are we meeting in Williamstown on Sat and carpooling? What time? Cool beans.
Kelly, thankx for asking. I tried to finsh the Phlly half marathon(13.1 mi)but sadly did not. Soooo disappointed and bummed out. So close too- I was between mile 11 and 12, less than 2 to finsh, making good time. Suddenly the whole earth started spinning! Thank goodness an ambulance was nearby. BP was 70/40! Way too low.Ended up in Hahnemann's ER the rest of the day!I was crying bec I really trained for this and wanted it so much. Now I'm getting worked up for neurocardiogenic syncope or vasovagal or for the "non-medical" folks, simply fainting. Definitely will try running again. Just need to be cleared by Cardiology. Ok, now that I admitted defeat I feel a little bit better its now all over the blog. But, I can't simply give up. See you all next week, taking it easy this week to nurse my bruised ego (haha).
That's not a defeat Jen! We're proud of you and we will rally behind you and get you ready for the next one! I'll run the next one with ya....WHO'S WITH ME?
Kristi, we'll meet at my place and ride up together somehow...probably in Justin's Jeep. Not sure what time though...guess we need to work it out by tomorrow! Haha...and we may be running it as singles...
Got 11 rounds today with a 10 lb. med ball, and i got 4:38 on the row. If it wasn't for Leanna being next to me, I don't know if I would've done 11 rounds. My goal was to do at least 8, so I beat it! yay!
Nick - I tried pull ups on the single band today...got 3 or 4 in a row. Justin and Leanna both agreed I should do the red in my workouts. Almost there! yay!!
Great Job Jen..you did run 11 miles!! Thats fantastic! You will finish it next time!
ALso, great job to Jackie and Bambi..you both pushed hard today!
The last few days this blog has sounded like a bunch of old blue hair's sitting around the dinner table at a nursing home! All this talk of injuries and being sore!
To be honest, I'm just as bad, as I could barely stand up straight for the last 2 days from the deadlifts on Monday!
One of the best WOD's yet! Too bad the EHT box got it all to ourselves. The 6:30 crew killed it again. Max effort by all. Justin was on point tonight with his direction and encouragement, thanks. I posted 13 rounds(20lb) and 4;34 on the row. A full 1:10 faster than my Jackie row. Very excited!
Just a quick shout out to my wife who kicked ass tonight and posted some great numbers!ILY
p.s. congrats to jen m nice job. would love to run a marathon one day. mark lets get thru jackie and train for the next one.
I'm sure everyone at the EHT box are great and all but Im starting to feel like the red headed step child doing my WOD in a small, two car garage. So I'm just throwing it out there. I propose a somewhat healthy competition between the old heads and the new heads. Your box vs. ours, get a team together, we'll coordinate it with Nick and Mark. Any takers?
Jeff, just want to echo your comments. That was a great workout tonight. You helped to push me through the WOD as I kept hearing you yell "round Jeff" behind me like every 15 seconds. I got 10 rounds plus 6 and a 4:04 on the row. Really stoked on my row, I didn't think I could pull that hard. Thanks for getting in my ear and making me pull that last hundred Justin, I probably would have dogged it if you weren't behind me. Almost puked on the fan after the row, couldn't get my feet out fast enough.
Kevin, I am sure my fitness level is no where near elite or even good for that matter but I am always up for a challenge. If I could be so lucky as to make the EHT team I am in.
My weakest point of doing OTG WODs is finishing in a timely fashion.
My strongest point is puking afterwards so that is what I can bring to the table for the EHT crew
bahahahaahaha....Steve you're hilarious!! Kev - good support..
Some tremendous times and rounds out there!! Congrats to everyone who was med ball cleaning and then rowing (this alone improved your jackie time by 15 to 30 sec..)
Get some!!
Looks like our venue for the Jackie challenge may be EHT....

I can see how W'town is quickly becoming the redheaded step child, it's ok though we still love our trainers
