We all have our strengths and weaknesses when it comes to movements. But what's the one movement/exercise in CrossFit that just eludes you no matter how hard you try. That being said, keep working on it and make it a strength. Put just a little more time in than usual and watch the difficulty fade.

11:16 today ... did my best on the HS walk. Rx'd the front squats. Did bent knees on the T2B.
I'll be there with bells on Dom, but you did miss some good DB thrusters last night. You would have enjoyed them!
Dom, not to correct you, but, it's " this stuff will make you a GOD DAMN sexual tyranosaurus!".
Mark or Nick, I'm slays trying to rx everything, which is good, but what do youthink about occasionaly scaling a wod so you can up the intensity? Would you get as good a workout if you go lighter but faster? Or is it just different?
Chris, Jen, Kelly, E.S., and Court. - great work today on the WOD! This is a shoulder burner...Make sure you keep 'em loose throughout..
Kevin - The intensity is relative. It will only go as high as you make it. The work capacity is what will change. I think doing a WOD "Rx'd" is only beneficial if you can maximize your work capacity. Example:
If the workout is 'supposed' to take between 5 -8 min and you decide to do it Rx'd and it took 15 min, then you should've scaled. Hope this helps..
Today's - As Rx'd:
10:55 - no kip on the TTB's
Kevin, kudos on both comments. Very glad you corrected me, that's not a quote one wants to get wrong, and I honestly have been wondering about that "scaling the wods thing" myself but never had the ba**$ to ask it for fear of getting laughed at and told to shut up, hahaha
"Hey Ace, you got anymore of that gum?"
- Dan Marino
ha, ha, shut up dom!
Dom, I sounded good asking it, but you would have looked like a p$&$y. Sorry.
Wow.....wow....really Kev....ok....no no that's fine, I'll use this witty civilian banter as fuel to push me through the WOD tonight you "keyboard killer." And hey, hit up Nick or Mark for my digits too if ya wanna call me and talk $h%t and be a "telephone tough guy."
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, that's wrong, so wrong, it's just, I get this way when my man-hood gets called into question (E) I'm sorry, I'm sorry, such "smack talk," is below me ;-)
"Speak softly, and carry a big stick."

Love all the tough guy talk...makes me want to work out harder.
Okay, so what are pistols? Guess I will find out at 4pm today.
Had plenty of well needed rest after my mishap on Monday. Feeling better and am ready to tear up this workout (I hope).
See you at 4.
Yo Dom, like the two paragraphs of tough talk, then the quote " speak softly and carry a big stick". Good stuff. Ok, ok, time to play nice. Good luck with the wod, I'm sure you'll kill my time.
The movement that has always eluded me is that damn Kip Pullup. I recently started getting better, but it's been 8 months for crying out loud.
Things improved at the "garage" when I use the bar opposite the back window. I can see my form and movement, and that really helped me work things out.
I know there are pros and cons here, but mirrors can definitely help working out form (see Kip, Jump Rope, Squat Depth, Dead lifts and more).
Kev, nuttin but Love for ya brotha, good times good times!
WOW.GREAT..this will be the perfect ending to my week after working the Airshow! I will truly not be able to move tomorrow :-) Can't wait! See you at 4:30.
Ok I finished up with the WOD at EHT with Mark and let me tell you I was soaked in sweat. I actually ringed out my shirt in the parking lot and left a puddle. That's crazy.
The WOD was really good. I liked it. I did the 200m walk with the 45 lbs. Hand stand are not happening yet, but soon. The front squats 115 lbs and K2E. Still working on the T2B. Anyway finished with 17:50. Once again the heat kills me.
Mark I'll be in Monday night 7:30.
Jim
That was a tough wod. The walk was killer. Hope my head doesn't itch tomorrow, I won't be able to reach that high to scratch it. 18:52
OK, so after all my trash talk today, here's the results.
1st, this WOD was extremely deceptive, I saw "walk" in a CrossFit WOD and thought, "oh this outa be nice," WRONG, DEAD WRONG!!
The walked F'N sucked hard, did the first one w/ out stopping then the last two were broken up for "active rest." It's pretty bad when the TTB's were a "break" if you will.
Finished w/ 18:03 w/ 135 Front Squats. AND I FEEL GREAT RIGHT NOW!! NO LIE!! LOVE ME SOME CROSSFIT!!
"Every man dies, not every man, truly lives."
Lisa S & Jen D, awesome way to end the week/start the weekend! Great workout with you girls!
Gotta learn the handstand walk. Looks like a fun challenge.
200m walk w/25lb plate, 55lb frsq & knees to tri's. 10:39
Looking forward to next week. ;)
