It hurts so good...

Rest

Be sure to keep up with us on Facebook (link to the right) and keep the fans coming.  Mark updates the site regularly and is keeping it 'fresh' with new info, links and updates.  The more people who know about CrossFit, the easier it will be to find people to talk to about it(HaHa!).
We all want to lead a 'healthy' life.  If you CrossFit, then you really care about yourself on a different level than others.
Has anyone gone to great lengths to change their eating, sleeping, work, etc.. habits and rituals to better their experience while CrossFitting?  Is their spouse or significant other tired of hearing about what you're doing and how 'hard' that day's workout was?

Post thoughts to comments.

I'm sure my friends are tired of hearing about my workouts. That's why I post so much here cause only you guys really understand.

On that point, I worked on my hanging power cleans yesterday with 135lb, I knew I was doing something wrong. Anyway, I think I was leaning back too far, as opposed to more forward in the hang position. I adjusted to move my shoulders in front of the bar a little more, and POOF, problem solved. I didn't have any problems doing sets of 4 and 5 of HPC with 135 lb. When I was leaning back, I couldn't get enough momentum.

Anyway, fun stuff.

The guys at work are tired of hearing me talk about the last WOD I did. My wife finds me irritating because I eat so differently then she does. She basically doesn't cook for me any more because she doesn't know if what she is making fits the diet. She also is annoyed with me because I have crossfirotg as the home page for her laptop. Only because it's the computer in the kitchen otherwise I have to go in the basement to check mine.

Since April I have changed almost everything I do related to fitness and my habits. The only thing I realy need to work on is getting more sleep. I'm still trying to squeeze in everything in one day and I find I just can't get to bed until 12-1 am, which leaves me with about 5 or 6 hours or rest. Clearly that is not enough rest when your wrecked after a wicked WOD.

Peace out,
Jimbo

NICK,

Thanks for getting back to me on the "Cindy" results. I was a little disappointed in that I only did the same amount of reps but I did the pull-ups without any band. I will do that excercise again in a few months and guarantee that I will get 12-13!!!!

Did the Cindy today, from home. Pullups are still hard in the doorway, but I still managed to get a little kip in...

Finished 19 + 2 + 0 + 0

I was pretty gassed at the end, but really wanted to get that 20. I think I could have gotten had it not been for the doorway pullups.

Nothing wrong with facebook. I use it in general for my non crossfit posts nowadays, which are getting less frequent. It is a good medium to spread the word though.

I never said there was anything wrong with it...I just meant I'm back on it...

Thanks for the encouragement. With Cindy, I did pace myself from the get-go. I think at this point it is about improving on that pace.

I'll be back soon. I have been trying to do some drop-ins, but work has killed me this last week. I'm on vacation for 10 days starting next Friday, if I don't see you guys before then, I'll be back starting August 3rd.
