The ancient gates...

Rest Day

Our time in the OTG garage is nearing an end.  Late August is our projected date to open the doors at Tuckahoe.  What has been your funniest experience at the garage thus far?  This could range from a conversation/joke to an actual experience.
Post thoughts to comments.
Here are some of my fav's caught on film:

Well, in the short 3+ months I've been at OTG, by far the funniest thing I've been involved in has been our outing Saturday. Now, this is a family-friendly blog so we don't need to go over everything ha. But none the less it was by far the most fun I've had at the gym in a single experience. I don't think there really is a dull day here anyway with the people we have around, can't wait to continue to build the memories, and see how else my life gets changed in august ha

That was a great time, Joe.
Are you stopping by the gym before you go to Charlotte this weekend?

I'm with Joe, Sat. night was by far the best time! I had so much fun and have so many great memories. I can't wait to all hang out again, I hope it's soon. I truly feel so blessed that Crossfit came into my life because I have met so many great people. I truly think of you guys as friends and enjoy having your constant support surrounding me. I look forward to coming every day because of the wonderful people. We have all come so far and I know I have done things that I never thought I could do. I also enjoy our off color conversations that often occur before workouts. I know I will always be laughing when I come. Love you all and will see you tomorrow. Holla to all my PUMAS! Ha, ha!

My first night Nick said "Do a pull up." and my arms literally did not bend! That was in Dec.'08, and last Saturday I did a hundred of them. I feel like I joined a cult. I'm out there Jerry, and lovin' every minute of it! Can the garage clients carve their names in the concrete at the new place?

OMG!! I can't believe Andrea had that bag on her head! Thats so funny. My funniest moment??? Thats a hard one, there have been so many. I think one of the times I laughed the hardest was a re-telling of a story that I wasn't even there for....Mark's retelling of Nick splitting his new shorts (the ones he did squats in while in a dressing room to make sure they were roomy enough) was hilarious and I wasn't even there to witness it! Outside of funniest moments have been some of my favorite moments at the garage. The times when someone gets their first pull up or times people finish a WOD that they thought they couldn't. To the times we are so bloody and torn up but don't even notice because we are working so hard. Those are some of my fav times, watching people break out of their comfort zone and going to a place where they can be so proud that they were able to go.
