I havn't posted any times for the past few workouts...it seems i'm always a day or so behind on doing them.
Baseline - 3:49
Grace as RX'd- 4:04 (powerclean to overhead)
DL/Run as RX'd - 7:15
B,
Is Grace "supposed" to be Squat Cleans or Power Cleans?
We did Squat Cleans, and the squat part was my weakest.
Awesome job on the DL/Run, with 300, monster.

Can't believe any of you boys didn't respond to my man bashing!!!!!!!!! HA HA You're no fun!!!!
Most of us guys are married, so man bashing is a daily occurrence that we have learned to tune out ;)
DL / Row ( I never run on a treadmill...ever ). Subbed a 400m Row for the run.
215lb
7:48
I regretfully went too light on the weight. Keep in mind my previous BEST 8 rep deadlift was 185lbs. I "moved up" to 215lbs to challenge myself, hoping I would finish in singles.
Well, I smoked the Deads, all sets unbroken, could have probably gotten 10 on each set.
I am really kicking myself for going too light. At the same time, how the F did I add that much to my Deadlift without focusing at all on it? I could have easily gone 225, and probably should have been 235 - 245.
It was one of those hallmark Crossfit moments that you have, when you say "holy sh*t, I can't believe I just did that". Like when I finally was able to continue on my pullups and cranked out 21.
I guess this Crossfit actually works, eh?
Gonna have to kill myself tomorrow to finish out the week on a positive note.

new headline pic huh? nice.
So I was talking to Justin last night about Grace and according to him it can be squat clean or power cleans. Anyway you can move the weight from the floor to over head.
Although I would imagine squat cleans would be much harder. I know when I did grace at the house I did power cleans and I used a weight that was to light, 95lbs. I should have used 115lbs. But it was the first time I did it so no big deal, there will be a next time.
Now last nights WOD was rough, I really liked it though. Strange I know. It was funny too because while I was suffering thru Kate Brett was killing the DL / Run. He actually finished before me and I started before him. How about that for being the man. Way to go Brett. That's twice I have had the opportunity to train with him and so far both have been great. I see what he can do and I want to get there myself. Oh if I was 10 years younger :)
Dude I hope he is there every time I show up. That would be great.
Hey so what is the next challenge going to be Nick??? I'll jump on that.
Too funny Paul!
Well, I officially did my last sit up!!I request that our next challenge be a push up challenge?? Any ideas? Oh, by the way, great times Brett! I can't wait to see how things shake out at the qualifier!
I just got home from a long day at work. Can I get a waiver for one more day...200 to do. I have to get up tomorrow @ 0500 hr, oh well, I guess I'll start.
done, that sucked...next challenge, watching me walk away!
Watching you walk away while I play that slow piano music from "The Hulk" tv show, hahaha! WAAAAHHHH!!
ABMAT CHALLENGE COMPLETE AND STILL NO ABS!! WHAT GIVES!! I'm gonna sue the company who made the thing, hell I'll sue OTG too, give 'em a little incentive to get that RRG money ;-)
"Please, think of the kittens."
Great job to everyone who finished. I bailed out at day 27, you guys rock.
Any chance of getting the WOD early today? I gotta get in the gym around 11 due to some meetings this afternoon. You know what they say about meetings.
Thanks guys!
Just stay consistent with your training and recovery. You’ll see amazing progress over the next few weeks. Dial in your diet and sleep and you’ll see even more amazing things happen.
Leanna, I don’t think you’re going to see another challenge in this same style. But what you should try doing is greasing the groove (GTG) for pushups if that’s something you want to get better at. Set a goal and work towards it. Do it outside of the WOD or any skill work. GTG is doing several sets of submax (70-80% of your max) pushups. So if your max is 20 straight pick 14 or 15. Tinker with it. Test your new max every few weeks and keep increasing the # of reps in the sets. The key is not burning yourself out and making sure to take off days as needed.
Thanks for the advice Brett...I'll give it a shot:-)
