Is there anyone interested in going to the Northeast Qualifier for the '09 CrossFit Games? It's in Albany New York at the Albany CrossFit on May 23rd and 24th. If so, set up your hotel room ASAP. Apparently, that's a 'blackout' weekend for hotel rooms. Talk to Stacey about where we're staying, and hopefully you can be in the same one! If not, she has other local options for your stay. We appreciate any and all the support we can get - it's going to be a VERY interesting experience.
Also, the week of 4/27-5/2 Mark and I will be in LA for a CrossFit business seminar. We have decided to close up shop for the whole week since we will not be able to run any of the sessions. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. Due to our absence we will be adding a full week to everyone's month! BTW, taking a week off is a great way for your body to fully recover, as well as, re-kindle that CrossFit fire.
We're also going on this trip to offer you the best CrossFit experience possible. There will be some minor changes (change is GOOD!) in the near future to the hours for classes, prices, programming, contracts, etc..
Lastly, we are always looking for feedback from you the client. Let us know how we can better service you as your CrossFit gym. No suggestion is too small. Write all suggestions down with or without your name and put them in our suggestion box.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

The Running and Endurance Cert was great this weekend. It was run by Carl Borg of crossfitendurance.com...no Brian McKenzie though. Both Carl and Brian will be entering the Angeles Crest 100 mile race and Carl is currently running once a week in preperation! Most of the time was spent with lecture, drills, video analysis, and of course we did a running WOD. We got into stretching and recovery...I'm definitely going to be on the TP foam roller a lot more and screaming in agony. I found out that my POSE running was surprisingly half way decent going in and now is even better. I still have a lot to work on and will be going through the 6wks of homework drills we were assigned and eventually adding CFE WODs to my training. Hopefully in the future I can help with some sort of POSE running seminar.
I also heard a great idea for a challenge to implement at OTG. More info on that later, but I'm pretty excited about it.
Well I can honestly say the last 2-plus months have been life changing for me. And since i've only been here for 2-plus months i dont think i have too much input on changes for the gym. Looking at the pics i've seen that the gym has already transformed in astronomical ways since the beginning so i can only imagine what it will be like when the new place is ready to go. I dont think i would really change a thing right now. Everything we are doing seems to run smoothly and efficiently enough to not warrant a change. The atmosphere is great and i dont really see anything that needs to change. Like i said we might be limited in some ways due to space, but once the new place is up and running i see limitless possibilities. keep it up guys, have fun in LA with don!
sorry sorry. DR DON
Glad to hear it went well B. No Brian, huh?
Looking forward to hearing more on how it went this weekend.
Thank you, Joe.
I would love to see some certs at OTG. It's tough with my schedule to go someplace far away for a cert. I would love to get my level 1 and oly certs in the next year.
We will be hosting certs once the new gyms are up!
Here's a suggestion Mr. "get with Facebook, Punisher T-Shirt wearin tough guy," it's 5:13 p.m. and still no WOD posted....hmmmm, need I continue ;-) LOVE YA!!
I know you have heard us say this time and time again, but I think we need more sessions. I know there are only so many trainers and so many hours that Nic can keep his eyes open. Most of our schedules are all over the place and missing a workout really stinks! I'm hopefull with the new gyms opening that more hours will be offered! You guys are great...keep up the good work!
695. not a bad start i guess. it was really motivating watching the Marvel comics superhero gang across the gym throwing 800-900+ pounds around. great work guys keep it up
I thought today was so much fun. I love how people push each other to new heights in their personal accomplishments. Whenever I don't believe in myself their is always someone there that does, that's what I LOVE about Crossfit. Love you all, thanks for everything!
845. PR'd every lift, but was super happy about my 325 squat and 385 DL.
Ben from Crossfit Performance (a big Aussie & instructor at the running cert) has a few pix of our WOD www.crossfitperformance.com Of course I'm in both! Ben was super enthusiastic about training crossfit and hilarious too. Every other sentence he used the words "f*ckin' roit!" (right) and telling clients he fired to "piss off mate"
Hey Nick, you gonna run more sessions when school lets out? I have a huge, crossfit physique dying to come out if only I can get in more often.
