I know this is a faux pas (google it) for the blog, but I'm not commenting on today's WOD. So to get to the point, my sponser, "E" , has mentioned me in the last 2 workouts that we have done together so I feel compelled to give him a "shout" as well, it's great to be back (here to stay) and missed everyone, and glad to be back being pushed to the extreme by my Sponser

Nick - regrettably, I agree with the title for today's WOD 100%. But I must admit that I've been a longtime believer in the ability to change people. Unfortunately, as you suggest here, changing someone is not an easy task, nor is it usually possible, nor is it usually worth it. Often, when trying to change something for someone, it is met anger, defensiveness & offensiveness, bitterness and resistance, etc... Especially when it comes to anything health or diet related. People LOVE making excuses for the things they know are wrong, and embrace the excuse as a crutch or a handicap. But... I have found that with patience, persistence and endless support it is possible to convince people that there might be another way to do things and that a better result is reachable.

I'll get off the podium now...

See ya's in EHT @ 6:30 tonight!

Dom, countless kittens have died as a result of your few month hiatus

Yeah, you know you're singing it.

BTW, not technically in the Paleo challenge but have been eating Paleo since Thursday. Feel better than I have in a long time and lost 5 pounds in 5 days. Thank you caveman ancestor.

I started with yesterdays WOD - Diane. Rx'd: 12:57 Yes, slow. Need to start stringing together some HSPU's, but it was my first time Rx'ing it, so I'm okay with the slow time.

I then took a 15 min break and did today's WOD. Rx'd: 6:15

I'll be lucky if I can raise my hands over my head later:)

I forgot to write down my time. This was the first WOD I ever did double unders. Nick scaled my du to 12 each time. I am able to do them with a single in between. A few days of serious practicing payed off.
I did 75 lbs and I think my time may have been around 7ish..

Today was a HUGE day for me...

On the wod, I did 6:47 w 85lbs.

Then, I had some serious help with trying to get up onto the wall into a handstand...and....

I FINALLY CAN DO IT BY MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Anyone who has seen me on a handstand day can understand...I had the biggest mental block you've ever seen. Freaked out every time the thought of getting upside down even crossed my mind. Now, I thought it was fun!!!

Michelle and Nick - Thank you SOOOOOO much for your patience and help!!!! I've spent the past year and a half freaking out over nothing, but you guys have been awesome!

I am so proud of myself! Now I can actually do some HSPUs (scaled of course) in a wod!! :)

Box jumps slow, but big news for me is that I was able to string together du's in a wod. Was getting 10+ consistently, and I think I got a string of 15 in the first round. This is a huge step for me...been struggling with these damn du's for over 6 months. I am cautiously optimistic that I have them licked! Way psyched!
Doug...sick time! Awesome!
Kyle..great job. Making huge gains..very impressive.
