You're never alone....

WOD:
"Death by Press w/ a twist"
Press 95/65lbs
On the minute every minute complete ascending repetitions of the press.  1st minute -1 press, 2nd minute 2 presses, etc..
The goal is at least 8 Rds, so scale appropriately.

Twist:

-Once completed-
Rest 1 minute
then:
Complete Double Unders by 2's (2, 4, 6, 8, etc) on the minute every minute for the duration of a 20 min running clock.

Post rounds completed for both and thoughts to comments.

I was thinking the same thing Steve :)

After that pathetic HSPU performance, I'm down for anything to strengthen my shoulders.

See ya @430

A great big thanks to OTG EHT for a summer filled with fear, pain, frustration, exhaustion, that morphed into community, camaraderie, self-confidence, and growth. I’ll miss my 9:30 crewmates, and will visit the blog to keep tabs on you all.
To Nick and Mark, you guys were relentless, never accepting less than more than I had. Thanks for your coaching and push. Thanks much…I’ll catch you when back in town!

Buzz, it was a pleasure spending time with you and hope to keep in touch.
Today's WOD was kind of a working rest. Tough, but not like the last three days for me!
I hit 9 rounds rx'd plus 8. Then all the double unders, THEN one-legged double unders to 8 each leg. That was a totally new feeling. I was drenched after that!

Mark and Nick, thanks so much for all the great advice. Can't wait to put it all to good use.

Press: Rx'd 7 Rds. + 6, 1 min rest, 5 more reps. Huge difference between rds. 7 and 8.

DU's: 10 Rds. + 6 Rds. one leg + 11 one leg.

Nick: How was "I came to work out"?

sert11 said...

Lift: rx'd 12 rnds +10
then du's: 11 rnds +20
yea, really enjoyed this one!

Jax said...

Lift: 55 lbs. 6 rds + 6 + 5 after a minute of rest.
DUs: got through all of the rest of the 20 min unbroken...so i guess it was 11 rounds or so??
I probably should have just done 20 minutes of straight double unders like some of the wtown people did! Oh well!

See everyone tomorrow!

Wod: 11 rounds + 6. Felt great for a while and then it got tough!

Press: 10 rds + 6 95lbs
DUs: Finished all rounds.

I used Atlee's rope on the DUs, and that thing was AWESOME.

I got my new Gimp Rope there now. Watch out DUs, I may need to change to TUs soon :)
