Why does helium do that to your voice..?

Rest Day

Just about a month away from almost everyone's first CrossFit Competition!
We're looking forward to all of our participants getting the opportunity to experience CrossFit outside of our boxes. What are the movements, time domains, weights, couplets, triplets, chippers, etc..that you would like to see during the Throwdown? What would be your two ideal WOD's if you could construct them?

Post thoughts to comments.

I'll take anything with a KB swing, front squats, burpees. Or pushups and box jumps (oof).

By the Throwdown, I'd like to say add pull ups and DU's because I'm gaining on them and want to "get some!"

I like WOD's with Row, push press or jerk, cleans, and maybe burpees.

I'm guaranteeing burpees, some type of clean, squat, and def pull ups! These are benchmark movements that can be found in every CrossFit qualifier...It's how they're arranged and the time domain that will make it interesting.

row, pushups, ring dips, dead lifts, KB swings, pushpress I can all handle. Throw in pull ups and Du and I'm dead! At least I have a few more weeks to practice.
Hope everyone is dug out by now. Looking forward to getting back to CF tomorrow. How about we to Sat's WOD tomorrow? Just a suggestion

Still not dug out yet Paul..but you're reading my mind about tomorrow's WOD..highly probable..

Got a fun week planned for all of ya!
Work on your weaknesses during your warm up or 'fun' time after WOD's!!

Damn, just looked thru the pics and W'town really has become the bastard child of OTG ... can't even get update pics posted.

All EHT, all the time !!!
Where's the love for the "originals"?

Someone's in the holiday spirit..lol..It seems you've been a little spoiled.

Go back and count how many pics there are of YOU, and get back to us.

Burpees kill me. What is the best way to get better at them in the next 4 weeks? In the infamous works of Nick DiMatteo, my burpees are "slow as shit"! Although I have plenty of other weaknesses, I think this is the one I should really address...

Chris, they probably took our camera to EHT. Don't worry, I've hired a professional photographer to chronical us for the next months.

Jackie...
The thing that sets fast burpees apart from slow ones are whether or not your hands and feet stay in contact with the ground on the way down.
Try some squat thrusts - do them fast. kick those feet back and bring them in.
At the bottom your feet shouldn't come up. I see this most often with women, where yas roll up to your knees and lose efficiency in the movement.

Goodluck!

thank you brett!! looks like i'll be doing some of those in the coming weeks! I am def guilty of rolling up onto my knees. hopefully they'll be better by throwdown time.

EHT schools are closed tomorrow. Whats the plan for Monday? Two hour delay in Upper Twp trying to see if it will be 9:30 or 12 for me? Thanks!
